Dylan's 11th Birthday

This year for Dylan's 11th birthday we took 6 of his friends to the River City Rascals minor league baseball game. Before the game they had a carnival with blow up rides. The boys loved the bungee race. James & I were laughing so hard looking back at the pictures. The boys' faces were so intense. They really wanted to win!

The game was very entertaining. I told James it would be nice if little league games had all the extra stuff. Then I'd enjoy going to Dylan's games a whole lot more than I do now.

Spring '09 Band Concerts

Austin and Dylan's middle school band concert was back in May. If you watch the video you'll see first a picture of them standing in front of the school. It was so hard to take this picture. They were soooo embarassed that their mom was wanting to take a picture of them in front of their friends. Okay, what's wrong with wanting to take their pictures? Other parents were taking pictures too! PRE-TEENS!!!!

Dylan's 5th grade band went first. Those of you who watched Austin's video last year know that they are just learning to play. They spend the first 3 6 week sessions trying out different instruments. Then they choose which one they want to stick with. So, Dylan's been playing the trumpet exclusively for about 6 weeks. So all in all they did pretty well for having only been playing their selected instrument for 6 weeks.

Austin's 6th grade band is the last part of the video. Don't miss it!! It's amazing how much better they are in one year's time. The song is the Mission Impossible Theme Song. They did great! Enjoy the video!
